Meet The Music: Polaroid Fade
Polaroid Fade emerged from South Jersey’s vibrant music scene just over a year ago, though their roots run deeper. Fronted by vocalist and songwriter Nicoletta, the band blends old-school new wave with modern alt-rock, marked by her emotive vocals and lyrical flair. Guitarist Tyler brings layered melodies, while Jeremy (bass) and Jack (drums) add post-punk groove. Praised by producer Steve Feinberg as “a fresh take on the old wave of new wave,” their sound evokes the neon-lit energy of ‘80s Glasgow. Since their 2022 debut single “Any Other Way,” they’ve gained traction with follow-ups like “Bliss,” “Worry About Me Later,” and “Fisher Gardens.” Their first full-length album *Chaos Into Poetry* drops 11/22 via Shore Points Records, with an East Coast tour to follow in late 2024 into 2025.

Can you explain the meaning behind one of the songs on your latest album?
Our song Delancey was written about a shore house that my parents used to live in on Delancey Place in Ocean City, NJ. It’s just what I imagined living in their house would be like being able to enjoy the empty boardwalk in the off months!
